Disability, Entrepreneurship, and the Gig Economy Research Summit

Millions of American workers, including people with disabilities, are part of the “gig economy.” The emergence of online-based or mobile app-based employment opportunities has further contributed to the redefinition of employment and the labor market. How can people with disabilities benefit from this new employment reality? 

Join researchers from Georgia Tech’s NIDILRR-funded project, “Contingent Employment of Individuals with Disabilities,” as they present their findings from a multi-year research project. The day includes a keynote, three reaction panels featuring thought leaders in disability employment, and a closing session focused on next steps with staff from NIDILRR. 

People with disabilities, employers, advocates, and policymakers are welcome.
